Sorry, that didn't go through. Please try again.
Three steps. About five seconds.
Clip it on your finger
The soft clip closes gently around your fingertip. Nothing pierces the skin.
Press the button once
A small infrared light reads through your fingertip while you sit still.
Read your blood sugar
Your reading shows up in about 5 seconds, with your blood oxygen and pulse on the next screen.
Nobody ever gets used to the finger prick
Lancet. Strip. Squeeze. Wipe. Bandage. Every single time.
Even people who've checked their blood sugar for years still hate it. Fingertips get sore and hard, the kit ends up in a drawer, and the daily check quietly becomes a "when I remember" one.
The hardest part was never the number. It was the needle.
So we took the needle out. No pricks, no blood, nothing to throw away.
"Is it going to stab me?" No. That's the point.
Pricking your own finger is bad enough. Pricking someone else's is worse, whether it's a partner who hates needles, a parent who keeps skipping checks, or the people you care for.
Now you clip it on their finger, press once and read it together. No flinching, no blood, no arguments.
No kit to carry. Check wherever you are.
It fits in your palm and hangs on a lanyard, so it goes where you go.
- First thing in the morningThe fasting check, before breakfast, still in your pyjamas.

No account, no password, no manual to decode. If Dad can press a button, he can check his own blood sugar.

- Reads in mmol/L or mg/dL, your choice
- Bright, clear numbers on a colour screen
- Works on its own, no phone needed

Blood sugar first, plus oxygen and pulse
One clip on gives you your blood sugar reading, then your blood oxygen and pulse on the next screen. Blood sugar shows in mmol/L or mg/dL, whichever you're used to.

Before you order
Does it hurt at all?
No. Your fingertip rests in a soft clip and a small infrared light does the reading. No needle, no blood and nothing that breaks the skin.
How long does a reading take?
About 5 seconds. Clip it on, press the button and keep your hand still until the number shows.
What does it show?
Your blood sugar reading first, then your blood oxygen (SpO2) and pulse on the next screen.
Does it work?
It reads through your fingertip with light instead of a drop of blood, so treat it as a daily trend rather than a lab number. The easiest way to get to know it is to check at the same times each day, for example first thing in the morning before you eat.
Can I check my partner or parent with it?
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons people get it. Clip it on their finger, press once and read it together. The 2-pack gives you one each.
Can it replace my glucose meter or CGM?
No. Alvera is a wellness monitor for tracking daily trends without the needle. It isn't a medical device and doesn't diagnose anything. If you take insulin or other medication, keep using your meter or CGM for treatment decisions and follow your doctor's advice.
Does it show mmol/L or mg/dL?
Both. It reads in mmol/L, and you can switch it to mg/dL, the unit most US meters use. For reference, 5.6 mmol/L is about 100 mg/dL.
Do I need strips, refills or an app?
No. There are no lancets, strips or sensors to buy, and no app or phone needed. It runs on 2 AAA batteries.
How fast is shipping?
Orders leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days, and delivery usually takes 5–15 business days. You'll get tracking by email as soon as it ships.
What if it's not for me?
You have 60 days. Email hello@tryalvera.co and we'll sort out your refund.
